Applying concrete driveway sealer in cooler weather

Q. What sealer is best for a new concrete driveway that was poured Oct. 20, 2011 in Michigan? we are starting to get close to freezing on some nights.

A. A solvent based sealer, we use CSS Emulsion solvent based sealer from Elite Crete, is best when the temperatures start getting cooler.

Apply the sealer in a very thin coat when the air temperature is 50 degrees, preferably when the sun is out. Make sure the driveway is dry and no rain is in the forecast for the next day.

This thin coat should dry in a couple of hours, if you get another good day, apply another thin coat.
