Q. If you use fiber cement do you need wire mesh for a floating concrete patio 20'x12'?
A. We use just fibermesh for reinforcement all the time. We do place a double row of rebar around the edges on our slabs.
If the gravel base was done properly, fibermesh is enough reinforcement.
