Paint for radiant heat

Q. What do you recommend for painting a concrete floor with radiant heat? Is this a possibility? Is there a special paint/process I should follow? Should I seal it first?

We live in Northern Minnesota, just built a new house and put radiant heat in the basement floor. I would like to paint the floor in the kid's playroom to liven it up a bit. Would you recommend painting? If so, can you please let me know what steps I should take in order to do so (i.e. clean, seal, paint, seal again) as well as what brand of paint would be the best to use in this case?

A. I would recommend an epoxy paint. Click on painting concrete floors to learn how to do this yourself.

We use Elite Crete's epoxy paint. Click on concrete products and look for Elite Crete's epoxy paint information and color chart to read about this product.
