Self Leveling Concrete Underlayment

Q. I know that when you use self leveling concrete you still need to have some
flooring over it. Can you pour regular concrete over self leveling concrete?
Right now staining the concrete is the least expensive way to go but I didn't
know if this was possible. It's for a small (8x20) entryway.

A. Yes, you are right, most self leveling concrete products are used as underlayments for other flooring materials to be used over them. Concrete can be poured over a self leveler if you want to go with that material.

Here is a link to a Self leveling concrete product that also can be used as a wear surface. It can be acid-stained, polished and used with epoxy. It is called Ultratop from Mapei products:
