How To Screed and Level Concrete

Using a Vibra-Screed

Mike here,

You know that the tools we use are the life-blood of pouring and finishing concrete.

I've been using some new tools recently from Marshalltown that are making my life (and job) a lot easier.

One of those tools is the Shockwave vibra-screed.

This one tool (or piece of equipment) is making screeding my concrete floors so easy. It's like the Cadillac of vibra-screeds compared to the others I have used.

A few things I really like about it are:

1. The vibration of the screed blade is very smooth making the tool very easy to operate and level the concrete.

2. The handles adjust very quickly to whomever is running it.

3. The throttle lever is very easy to adjust high and low for whatever vibration you need to screed the concrete.

4. The on/off switch is in a convenient place and easy to access.

5. The "kickstand" is well built and very easy to get to. (this holds the screed upright when you're not using it)

6. The Honda motor starts with one pull.

If you're just learning to screed concrete, If you're thinking of getting into the concrete floor business, or if you're thinking of replacing your existing vibra-screed, I can vouch for this one.

I highly recommend it.
