New Concrete Floor For A

Garage and Horse Barn Combination

Mike here,

I was hired to pour a new concrete floor for a garage / horse barn combination. The owners wanted a garage to park a vehicle in, but also a place to wash their horses.

The concrete floor had two floor drains that we had to slope two sections of the floor to. We had to make sure there were no puddles in this area and all the wash water went down the drains.

You'll be able to see how we screed the concrete around each drain to get the right slope.

And.... how we screed and level the rest of the garage floor so it all comes out the way the owners expect it too.

Check out the video below to see how we installed this floor!

My last video was about how we poured a 1.5 inch thick heated concrete floor on a plywood deck. This was the main floor in a new house.

We pour quite a few of these floors every year. See how we poured this large house floor with radiant heating tubes.

If you want to learn how to install your own garage slab like the one in the video below, I've got a step by step course that will teach you how.
