How To Finish Concrete

Sidewalks and Patios

Mike here,

When I finish concrete sidewalks and patios there's some basic finishing techniques I use.

If the desired result is a broom finish, then I have a few things I like to do to the concrete before I drag the broom across the surface.

One of those things is mag floating the surface, but when is the best time and what is the best method. I'll give you those answers in the video.

Another thing is using a concrete edger to round the edges. Again, there's a "best time" to do this and a certain method to achieve the best result. It's all in the video.

I'm also showing you how to cut the grooves and how I broom the surface. There's a right way to do it and a wrong way. I'm showing you the right way.

Check out the video below where I share with you all my best methods on how to mag float, edge, groove, and broom finish concrete.
