Part 2: How To Pour Concrete Steps

And Pour A Concrete Patio At The Same Time

Hello,

This is part 2, How to pour concrete steps and a concrete patio.

I'll have part 1, How to form concrete steps and a concrete pato, below in case you missed it.

In part 2, I'm showing you how we pour the concrete steps, the steps have 4 risers and are 6 feet wide.

You'll also be able to watch us pour the concrete patio and see how we finish it using a mag float, concrete broom, concrete groover and concrete edger tools.

We pour the concrete for the stairs pretty stiff (dry) so the concrete doesn't sag. But how do we keep from getting a lot of bug holes or air pockets when we strip the forms?

You'll have to watch the video to see the special tool we use to prevent this.

Check out the video below to see us in action!

Part 1 - Forming concrete steps and patios

This is Part 1 - In Part 1 I'm showing you how we form a set of concrete steps and a concrete patio that are attached to each other.

They both have a concrete frost wall, so we are attaching our forms to the concrete walls.

I have a special technique we use to attach our wood forms to the concrete so be sure to check that out.

I also give you some tips as to how to form a set of concrete steps, the steps we are doing in the video are 6 feet wide and they have 4 risers.

Check out the video below.

Thank you!!
