How To Form A 1.5" Overhang For A Concrete Patio

#EverythingAboutConcrete #MikeDayConcrete #ConcreteForming In this video I'm going to show you how I form a 1.5" overhang when I install forms for a concrete patio slab. The formed overhang helps to hide the seam between the bottom of the patio slab and the top of the foundation wall. Without the formed overhang, when you strip the forms after pouring and finishing the concrete, you'll see where the patio slab sits on top of the concrete wall. If the backfill doesn't cover the seam, then it may not look as nice as you'd like. By overhanging the concrete, the seam is a lot less noticeable and looks a lot better when you don't cover it with backfill. I have to form up a lot of my concrete pours. This forming technique is just one of the things we do to form patio slabs. If you want to learn more of my advanced forming techniques, check out The Concrete Underground below. Inside there I have a lot of my more advanced training techniques to help you learn how to do concrete work just like I do.
