This video is for Beginners and Diy's who want to know how to pour a concrete slab. The slab is a basic six inch thick concrete slab with the edges thickened another 6 inches for a total of 12 inches thick. We start with a 3000 3/4 psi concrete mix and tell the concrete mixer driver we want a 6 inch slump. Slump is how dry or loose the concrete is mixed. A 6 slump is a pretty easy, workable slump to screed and bull float. We start pouring the concrete slab on one end and pour out about 3/4 of the slab with one guy raking the concrete as level as he can with the top of the forms. Another guy is mag floating the edges and I"m holding the Truck chute. We screed the concrete with 2 guys "kick screeding" and one guy raking or puddling the concrete behind us. After screeding, I bull float the concrete smooth and we install the anchor bolts. To learn how we install concrete slabs like this from start to finish, you can learn from my CONCRETE SLAB course below. It will teach you each step in an easy to follow video format.
