We also sloped this garage floor 2.5" towards the garage door to help shed water that gets dripped onto the floor. We poured this garage floor 5 inches thick but a lot of the garage floors we pour are only 4" thick. 4" is strong enough for a residential garage floor if the sub-base is properly compacted with good gravel.
