Let me know in the comments below!! The edges on this concrete slab are 12 inches thick and taper up to 6 inches in the middle of the slab. This is part 2 of a 3 part series on this garage slab addition. Part 1 is about forming the slab and the prep work to get it ready for the pour. Part 3 is about how to power trowel a concrete slab. For the pour, we used 3000 psi concrete with fibermesh. We also use a water reducer in the mix which allows us to pour a more fluid mix without adding water. This additive ensures we don't damage the integrity of the concrete by pouring the mix too wet.
