Concrete Resurfacing - How To Fix Spalled Concrete

You can use this same repair method to resurface a concrete pool deck, concrete driveway or concrete walkway. In the video, I show you the best method to prep the concrete for the repair, how to mix and apply the Ardex CD, and how to apply a broom finish. This video will show you from start to finish how to repair spalling concrete. In Maine, we have a lot of spalled concrete due to the many freeze and thaw cycles we have in the late Fall and early Spring seasons. A lot of de-icing salts are used to melt snow and ice in the winter months, which can lead to a lot of spalled concrete if the concrete wasn't air-entrained and/or properly sealed. Spalling concrete can be fixed if you have the knowledge and right materials to do the repair.
