When we pour a concrete pool deck, whether it's a broom finish or a stamped finish, we like to start the pour in an area where we can easily start the finishing process also. This especially applies when we stamp a pool deck and we have more than one load of concrete. You never know if both loads of concrete will dry close enough together to continue with the stamping process without stopping. Stamping a concrete pool deck or a patio of this size (1480 sq. ft.) requires some experience and a well thought out plan. You need to make sure you have enough labor and enough stamping mats to get the whole deck stamped in a relatively short amount of time (about 30 - 40 minutes).
