How to use concrete knee board sliders

#concretefinishingtechniques #mikeday CONCRETE FINISHING TECHNIQUES: USING KNEE BOARDS Concrete knee boards or concrete sliders allow you to get onto the surface of the concrete and start the finishing process a little earlier than when you can walk on it. We use kneeboards to mag float the surface prior to doing a broom finish. We also use these sliders to finish concrete floors, slabs, and pool decks. They're kind of like snow shoes for concrete. The knee boards distribute your weight more evenly and you don't "sink" into the concrete. Of course timing is always critical when finishing concrete, so these let us start finishing a littler earlier than just waiting until we can walk on the crete.
