In this video I'm sharing with you my 5 best tips for getting that perfect broom finish on you concrete patios. In order to get a good broom finish on a concrete patio you need to mag float the surface to remove any imperfections, bull float lines, and fill any small holes in the surface. You also want to use and edger around the perimeter to round the edges, this makes them stronger. After you mag the concrete and use your edger, you may have to mag a second time if the surface is too wet, it wants to be firm with not too much slurry or wet paste on the surface. When you like the surface, it's time to drag the broom across the surface. Go slow and at an even pace, don't stop and start until you've completed each pass. Once the surface is broomed, re-run your edger if you want to, that'll give you a nice picture frame look to finish off the concrete patio.
