Concrete Finishing Skills - One Trick All Finishers Should Know How To Do!

#EverythingAboutConcrete #MikeDayConcrete A very important concrete finishing skill we use a lot is sloping a garage door opening. This concrete finishing technique requires you to know when is the best time to start this process because if you start too early or too late it will be more difficult to do. The concrete needs to be firm but not too hard as it needs to hold its shape as you slope it. We dig out about a 1/2" of concrete next to the form board, then scape the slope we want into the door opening. Then we smooth the concrete by mag floating using a back and forth action to fill any voids with cement paste.
