This floor had a 15 mil vapor barrier with taped seams to block any moisture from coming up through the sub-base. An Isolation foam strip was installed along the perimeter to separate the floor from the walls. We installed 2" blue styrofoam to insulate the concrete floor and wire mesh for reinforcement in the concrete. This is how we prep a basic concrete floor for a basement in Maine.
