Newly poured colored concrete
Q. We had colored concrete poured 1 week ago, when is it safe to put water on the concrete. We have bird droppings on it. When do we put sealer on it.
A. It is safe to put water on it now. Wash the surface with water and a mild soap, rinse thoroughly and let it dry for 24 hrs.
Once the colored concrete is completely dry you can apply the concrete sealer. Apply the sealer in the early evening when the temperature is cooling down. It is never a good idea to apply concrete sealer during the heat of the day, it will dry too fast.
Check the weather before applying the sealer to make sure no rain is in the forecast for at least 24 hrs.
