Repairing exposed aggregate concrete

Q. We have just had a concrete pathway done in the exposed aggregate finish. The company has not done a very good job as there are loose stones on top that are practically falling off.

We have asked an expert who seemed to think they have washed the concrete off too soon before it dried properly. We are wondering what type of sealer is best to use in this situation as we hope the seal will prevent the loose stones from falling off even more.

Thank you,

A. A concrete sealer is an important component to maintaining your concrete walk but not to keep loose stones from falling off.

Roadware makes a product called Matchcrete that was designed just for what you have described. Loose stones can be bonded to the surface and stones that have been dislodged can be reset.
