Re-sealing 5yr old stamped concrete walkway

Q. Which is better to reseal out-door stamped concrete walkway, a water or solvent based acrylic or urethane sealer?

Thank you!

A. A solvent based acrylic concrete sealer is better for stamped concrete that is outside. The acrylic sealer lets the concrete breathe and will not blister or peel off if there is any moisture vapor transmission coming up through the concrete.

Apply the sealer in two light coats, thicker is not better with sealers.

Do not apply the sealer in the direct sun during the heat of the day. Early evening is best as long as the temps don't go below 50 degrees. Allow 24 hrs between coats.
