Q. How long should I wait after the forms are removed from a cast in place countertop before I start polishing?
A. That depends on the countertop mix you used. If you used a high (6000 - 8000 psi) early strength mix, you should be able to start polishing in 3 - 4 days. If you used a lower strength mix 7 - 10 days.
If you polish the concrete too early, the concrete will be soft and you won't achieve a highly polished gloss like you would if it is fully cured.
